Online Image Editor – Resize images without installing software

When you are at home you have your own software installed on your computer, you know where it is and exactly how to use it. If you are like me and you are here, there and everywhere and different times of the day, you would probably be interested to know that more and more things are becoming available online for online use only. The need to download and install application to do simple things is becoming unnecessary. This brings me to the point of this post.

Resizing images with Picresize.com

Well to my surprise this can be done very easily and without the need to sign-up or install anything.

Introducing Picresize, a web-based image manipulation website. Pictured below. Picresize offers a great user-friendly interface. While this is not at all Adobe Photoshop, it is still a very useful tool for those who are looking to make simple changes to images when not around their usual software, or for those who don’t have any image editing software.

To use this software you need to upload your image / picture to the PicResize website.

how to resize images without installing any software.

The following features are available for your use:

  • Cropping with the crop tool
  • Image rotating tool
  • Increase or decrease the brightness of your images.
  • Increase and decrease shadows and highlight differences with use of the contrast tool.
  • Add test to the images using the text tool.

This Web-based editor is far beyond what you would expect a web-based editor to be able to do. While it doesn’t quite match the big boys in the software market, it definitely out does any form of simple image editing software like MSPaint (Included on Windows installations)

Advanced features of Picresize

  • Gaussian tool – Blur a parts of an image / photo
  • Sharpen tool – Focus on parts of an image / photo.
  • Borders and frames.
  • Images rotation and tilting.
  • Advanced oil effects.
  • Increase and decrease noise.
  • Greyscale capabilities (Black and white imaging)

Batch resizing – If you have a batch of images you want to resize to the same size for a slide show or for thumbnails etc, you have the capability to use the “Batch resize tool”

The Beauty of the Picresize is there is no installation required, no sign ups and no real technical knowledge needed to be able to use this. I have a feeling i have already mentioned this though. Excuse me its getting late here..

Have fun and give it a go, The next time you are on the road and you want to touch up a photo just before you print it, you will remember me and my post.
