How to watch TV on the internet
With the increasing power of the internet you now have the capability to access tv channels online. But how can this be done, what do i need to do?
This article will go through a few of the things you need to do to watch TV in the internet.
What you need if you want to watch TV online:
#1 Fast Internet
The first thing to have in order to watch TV on the internet is a generous internet connection. If you have broadband or better, you will be reasonably well assured you have the capabilty to watch TV online without hassels.
More Technical: There are no real specifications on the precise speed for the buffering as this will also be based on the provider but i recommend that you have at least a 1.5mb connection in order to watch TV on the internet comfortably.
#2 Search for TV Channels
The second necessity to the success of watching TV on the internet is to know how to look for channels using search engines. You may like to look at my guide on how to search the internet using Google. There are many sites out there that let you watch TV on the internet for free, but it is possibly a matter of testing and finding the best provider with the best server speeds.
There are also options to watch TV on the internet for a price, which normally entails a registration cost of some sort, but are normally a little more reliable.
Be careful of websites that ask you to download files from their websites, as these files can contain viruses and/or spyware. If you have an issue with your computer I wrote an article on how to speed up your computer and this discussed virus and spyware removal techniques.
#Obtain Codecs and Media Players
Lastly, you must have all the necessary codecs and media players installed so that your pc can play the shows correctly. My favourite codec pack is the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, which seems to have most of the upto date codecs available. There are a lot of free downloadable players and codec packs available on the internet, you may want to do a Google search for this aswell.
Most codec packs require either windows media player and/or real player to be installed. Windows media player is already included in standard windows installation. Real Player can be downloaded free from the internet.
Hope this helps!

Or you could just use a free service like http://www.freetube.us.tc which has a whole bunch of channels. That’s how I watch tv on the net.
Thanks for your input Marok, This looks like another great way to watch TV on the internet.
